
Today’s #whattoeatwednesday is all about raisins!
I am loving raisins in my protein shakes for some lovely added texture.
Think chocolate covered raisin, oatmeal, and carrot cake inspired protein shakes.
Raisins are super sugary so make sure to account for those carbohydrates.
Despite the sugar, raisins help fight constipation, fatigue, and provide important antioxidants.
I like to add my raisins to my blender after I’ve already blended up my shake. I give it one last quick blend to finely chop the raisins.
They work best in a thicker shake, otherwise you’ll need a spoon to scoop them out of the bottom of the glass. Yum!
