STS NATION: "Success is a journey, not a destination" Ben Sweetland
I feel this is just one of many quotes that sums up July 2010 for STS. July saw Mindy Woodyard be the 1st STS competitor to go to Tri Fitness (she took 5th overall!). Awesome work Mindy! A team of 11 STS/Team Swoll competitors took stage at the NPC show in Mesa on July 24th with Mindy coming away with top honors placing 1st in Fitness. Bre took 5th in her figure class, Bonnie placed 3rd in masters figure, while Katie placed 3rd in bikini and Laura took home 2nd in her bikini class, rounding out the competitors that placed in the top 5, was Andrew placing 2nd in the teen's division of bodybuilding. While they did not make the top 5, Kristina, Tracy, Christine, Josh, and Josh all looked amazing and with some more time will be in the top 5. Great job team!
The last weekend in July 7 STS team members traveled to Las Vegas for USA's. It was a tough competition with over 500 competitors! Most classes had at least 20 athletes in it, with some having over 30! June and Jen both in the bikini "D" class placed in the top 10 (June 9th and Jen 7th). Katie Coles came away with 5th place in bikini "F"! Kellie looked amazing and brought her best physique to date on stage in bikini "E". In a tough figure "D" class Christine had a better call out this competition then her previous national show and Liz looked good as always in her first national show. Matt had an extremely tough middleweight class, but brought a leaner, bigger physique to this competition then when he won his class in November. I am so proud and thankful to have not only these great competitors, but also all the amazing clients I have. I cannot thank you all enough for your continued support. I ask all of you to re read the quote above and think about it. For many of us we are too focused on the end result. Whether that is a competition, wedding, class reunion, etc... We often times forget the journey is where we learn the most about ourselves and where we truly succeed.
I would like to send a special thank you out to the following individuals that not only helped with these past shows, but are just amazing people. Lin and Rod with Midwestern Meats, Alyson Boyd, Dr. Christina Tondura, Dr. Ashley Mayer and her team (thanks Rick and Mike especially), Taylor, Collette, Mindy, Katie w/Aglow, Petro, and each and every one of you in the STS Nation. Most importantly, thank you to my wife Melissa for always believing in me and standing by my side. Finally thanks to my kids, along with Melissa they keep me grounded. Well, sort of. Scott
